The change in my boyfriend's car and my car was taken last week. Who ever took it also frisked my roommate's car as well (they didn't find change in his car ^_^).

They didn't take our radios or tennis rackets or anything else though. I think that it is funny that they took about a dollar's worth of sticky change from my car. They hit they payload with my boyfriend's car though...

Anyway I was wondering if anyone's car was also relieved of its change.

Frat Row had several cars broken into but it was more than just change.

There’s been a wave of thefts in Rolla the past three days. At least four fraternities have had cars broken into. Items stolen include stereos, iPods, and more. Please make sure to take precautions and also keep your items locked up when you return to Rolla. If you have additional information regarding these thefts please contact the University Police at 573.341.4300.

Whereabouts did these break-ins happen? Or were they scattered about campus and town?

For our cars it was on the edge of town in a "suburban" type area.

Oddly enough one can purchase these figurines from the vending machine inside one of our fine dining establishments, that being Steak 'N Shake... 50¢ BTW...

so were these cars not locked? what thief would break into a car to steal change? leaving it unlocked is just asking for something worse to happen.

I always lock cars. My boyfriend borrowed my car that day and forgot to lock it.

He believes that I don't trust people enough because I lock things. So he rarely locks his car unless I ask him to.

This happened to me at the end of last semester and it just happened to my housemate earlier this week. It seems like the same people the only thing missing was change and everything from the glove box was on the floor. I live off of Pinetree road/Forum just past Soest

It's happened twice to us like i said. The first time I left my car unlocked and they stole a DS from my passanger seat. Me being me... i thought i misplaced it even though i knew i left it there from a trip to a friends house (I gf played it on the way back).

A few weeks later we were hit again but this time i kept my car locked. My gf's car was searched, with her glovebox's contents all over the place and another of my friends had money stolen from her center console. Both cars were next to mine.

Add in the fact that my apartment was broken into this summer and some teenage black kids tried to jimmy the door and I'm not exactly liking my new location at all!
