No. He's anti-nuclear power and would therefore put me out of a job. Other than that, he would have received my vote.
Go Bush.

I would like to say that no child of a canidate should campaign. They all look stupid and if ever asked a serious question have to say, "Oh sorry ... well he's nice at home ... go to his web site i'm sure they'll have the answer"

not so much avoiding the issues as being anybody but bush. i guess they figure that the people who like bush are going to vote for him, but if they don't like bush they'll vote for anybody. that explains his no-issue attempt to keep from offending anybody or taking a position that somebody doesn't agree with.
i think the only thing Kerry has decided is that he is not Bush.

Hey Swirls, Bush hasnt exactly given a Pro- Nuke or even anything truely approaching help to Nuke. The rhetoric on both sides is flowing fast and hard - the fun thing is to look at some attacks against Bush to see that even though they are just poor arguements, he's still not going to help Nuke any. The RNC website responded to attacks against the "screw nevada bill" (I love that by the way, the US invests nearly a trillion dollars into the nevada economy and when it finally is time to store things far away in a safe location that they agreed to be paid for - they whine and complain) with nothing at all that is pro nuke. If you're a nuclear engineer you care about the environment to some degree - either the reduced carbon emissions (sorry I cant speel today), safe and reliant energy production, or the fact that it really is a very safe and reliable power supply - and therefore should try to look more at the issue. Bush refuses to do anything with the Kyoto accord and truely reduce greenhouse emissions (at least im consistent) he has said he would reduce reliance on foreign oil and more towards new energy sources, but provides nothing for nuke in those areas. The only thing he has done for nuke in the last four years (if he has done any of this) is half-heartedly force nevada to do what they had been paid for years to ready, and force tighter restrictions on nuclear plant operations - such as security after 9/11 - which is a valid concern, but he lets the chemical plants stay near major population centers and represent a much greater threat to security and NO help to the Nuclear Industry.
Ooops...Sorry... Go see the "rally"(?) on Weds. and unlike the RNC everyone is invited to voice both sides of the issue - noone is going to be arrested here for peaceful protests (especially without the constitutional rights that were ignored during the RNC and the more then 1000 arrests made.)
Sorry again. Someone please ask at this......whatever it is, what will be done to protect our civil liberties that have been continually abused, ignored and generally erroded over the course of this presidency.

You mean by people who blatantly ignored laws by riding their bikes in the streets clogging traffic and ignoring the rules of the road? I guess as long as nobody gets hurt they don't deserve to be arrested for breaking the law

Maybe, by the Constitutional rights being ignored, he ment the idea of free speech zones that were rigidly enforced. The whole fucking country is supposed to be a "free speech zone."
Oh well, not like it's a new thing.
