I've heard of "smoker's". Usually student organizations getting around with some food of some variety to answer new people's questions. Perhaps it's similar to that (or you misheard).

i believe you are refering to the Theta Tau Omega smoker... its where they meet prospective members. Its a service fraternity. i think there is another on the 28th
