its a pain in the ass, if they tell you to take it you have to, but it doesnt make any difference how well you do

they gave out $5 coupons for the campus bookstore/eateries last year, that was about the only good part about it. oh and they had coolers full of free soda during the test.

Think of the ACT that has been through a blender. It is annoying because one page will be english, the next math, then reading, english, math... so on.

bring pants with lots of pockets, and jackets with lots of pockets... grab sodas before the test, during the break, and afterwards. even put one in the pocket of your underwear. keeps you cool during the test.

Everybody's supposed to take it before they hit junior standing. If you don't they threaten you with not being able to sign up for classes early like you normally do. It was a major waste of time, and didnt even really test for things I supposedly learned here (i seriously learned all of that stuff in highschool, as I'm sure the rest of you did too)

Bring some food and drink, and something to kill time with (sleep is the option I chose) because you will finish before the time is up

Do you have to take it if you are not a Missouri resident?

You only take it if you are a jr who started here as a freshman.

Also, it consisted of questions along the lines of:
6-m=6. What is m?

And that was multiple choice.

It's basically all simple algebra, simple grammar, and the like. It was a breeze.

And I'm pretty sure the UM system counts on UMR to get the averages up, especially in the math areas.

It's just a big joke. Hell, I never even went to try and find out what my score was last year.

Well, that is interesting, cause I am a sophomore and I got a notice in the mail saying that I am supposed to take it. It says it is to cover everything typically covered in the first 2 years of college, and I haven't even been here two years, nor do I have the credits to get Junior status. Am I in the wrong boat here or what?
