Well? Was it worth it? I didn't get to catch it, unfortunately.

I heard it hella sucked. At least considering the entrance fee.

Yeah, it wasn't that great. Not many EBR's (I saw two or three), some over priced C&R stuff. The only ammo I saw was a commercial reloader, nothing by the case. On the other hand, there was one main surplus guy there and I got a decent price on a large alice ($20), and even considering the entrance fee I still paid less than the cheapest place I could find it online. There were quite a few pistols there, I didn't pay much attention to them though since I can't buy one yet anyway.

I dunno, I didn't go. I was told that there was a 5 or 6 dollar fee to get in and browse. Could very easily be bad info.

My bf and I went and we just walked on in...so as far as I know there wasn't one. I never saw anyone collecting or anything.
It didn't hella suck, it just was a small gun show. It would have been a lot better with more booths. But it was impressive that it was on a college campus of all places...especially in Rolla.

it was $6 per adult, minus $1 coupon.

it wasn't great. i bought a .22 marlin for my wife and a mosin-nagant for myself, for a total of $125. i also found some rare ammo for my schmidt-rubin for only $30 for 60 rounds. cheapest i've ever seen it!

i was sort of disappointed. i was hoping for a cheap SKS, but they were all overpriced. i was also hoping for a cheap police surplus revolver, but the pistols were pretty sparce except for the high-end 1911 crowd.

i too was disappointed at the lack of a surplus ammo booth.

$125 for a mosin and marlin? Not bad, not bad at all. The only mosin's I saw were $95, which is at least a 50% markup. I'm trying to get some in bulk, should be able to get a few for around $30-$40 each. We'll see though.

The swiss ammo has a going rate of 40- 50 cents per round, but getting it for that with no shipping isn't bad at all. Heck, I could probably load that for 50 cents a round (reload for 30 cents a round or so). I think the 7.5 swiss uses a standard 308 bullet so if I ever see the gun for cheap I might get one, but doubtful since 25-50 cents per round is a lot for me. I like having cheap plinking ammo.

Edit: Hey prophet, if you ever think about hunting with that swiss rifle of yours, you can buy loaded softpoints for a buck a round (hornady has 20 rounds for $20) or get some new brass and I could load that up for you, or you could get me a couple of your unfired shells and I could pull and replace the bullet (thats what I did with mosin ammo before I got reloadable brass and dies).

i've still got 18 rounds left of my Norma soft points. i took a deer with it... and i cut the thing open and poured out the internals. perfect shot through the heart, but it liquefied the entire inside. apparently, people use it for hunting buffalo and such.

i think i'm gonna get a replica stock put on it and give it back to my dad with the 60 rounds. the mosin-nagant has almost identical ballistics, with just a little less velocity, and it's a lot cheaper to shoot.
