Where's the best place to get decent beer for cheap around here? I'm sick of going to Walmart and looking at their 'selection'.

i am partial to bev mart on kings, the are the only place in town who carry my drink, plus a good selection of hard shiz. their prices vary in relation to walmart. some stuff is more there, some is less, and some is about the same.

Dunno if this is still true or not, but if you spend >= $100 at BevMart you used to get 10% off your bill. Prolly not an issue right now but St Pats is always approaching.

I'd like to see a liquor store in UC East. Getting a case of morgan through my student account would be more convenient than waiting for a paycheck. Oh well.

Walmart, you just have to learn to like what they have, or ask for stuff they dont.

rusty penis (aka russ and rena's) is my favorite. i think bevmart has a bigger selection, but it's not as close. as for price, walmart and kroger WILL be cheaper despite their lack of selection. if you are going for a case of natty (or BL or bud whatever) you can probably save 2-3 bucks by going ot walmart or kroger. the problem with kroger is that they have "specials" so sometimes you can get a case of natty for 11, sometimes you can get it for 14. walmarts prices change gradually, so you can kind of tell when its going up or down. kroger's just a crapshoot.

but neither of those places carry 40s, maddog, or everclear. that's why i like rusty's. plus all of the people there know my face. not that i mind getting carded, but it's a nice mom-and-pop kind of feeling.

OH! ALSO, walmart doesn't sell liquer after 1am (state law is 1:30) and they are dickholes about it. one time it was like 1:15 and i was buying a 12 pack of rolling rock and my buddy was buying a 6 pack of budweiser and a bag of pizza rolls. he puts the beer and pizza on the conveyor and it gets to this old guy at the cash register. he just picks up the beer and puts it behind the register and then scans the pizza rolls as if the beer wasn't there.

brett: "uh, what about my beer"
"we don't sell beer after 1 am"
"why not, state law is 1:30"
guys pulls out a sheet of paper that has times written on it "see. look. right here. 1 am"
"yeah, but state law is 1:30"

so we had to go to the gas station, where for the price i was GOING to pay for rolling rock i had to buy icehouse.
