Couldn't think of any other place to post this, really.
Anyone race X-Mods? Went and bought myself a little starter kit at RadioShack today. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I can't seem to get mine to drive straight, be it forward or backward. No matter how much to the left I adjust it (keeps pulling hard right), it keeps pulling. Is just all stock stuff, didn't have the money to also buy any upgrades.
Let me know if anyone can help

My friend up here has like 3 of them. I was thinking of getting one myself. He has like a skyline with a awd kit and stage 2 motor and some other shit.
Only way i know of to adjust steering is on top of the controller

Ya, managed to finally get it to work. I would be interested in buying one of his stage 2 motors if he has any spares (8-teeth).
Only problem really is that almost -all- of the X-Mods are Ricers. The only decent ones is the Mustang, 'vette, and the '67 Camaro I managed to snag (only one they had in, and they're not getting any new ones until the end of the month!).
They go through AAA batts like a little bitch. Then again, I was getting mine to lay down skids on my floor. Was quite funny, actually.

buy a gas powered RC. those things freakin rock. plus they're so damn fast. but yeah, dont waste your money on radio shack crap. for about $200 you can build yourself a really nice RC. i had a tc10 but wrecked the crap outta it (i guess these things cant withstand a 10ft drop ). but before i destroyed it, that thing was fast. trust us, dont waste your money on that xmod crap. you can upgrade RC cars 10X better then that stuff.

4-wheel drive is why
what do you mean that 1/18 scale hpi one you posted is 4wd
tc3's are 4wd
if you don't want the 4wd on the tc3 then just unhook the driveshaft and put bearings in the front.
