Here's a joke I spotted over on a.u.s.b. I've adapted it because I thought the original was a bit sparse.
=====
One bright, sunny day, e^x decided to take a walk downtown. As he rounded a corner, a constant function ran into him.
"Whoa, what's the hurry, there? You should take it easy," said e^x.
The constant replied, "No time! There's a differential operator prowling around downtown. He's mangling functions beyond recognition! If he gets ahold of me, there'll be nothing left!!!"
The constant took off running down the sidewalk, leaving the slightly bewildered exponential behind. As e^x continued his walk, he thought to himself, "Ah, surely the differential operator can't hurt me. After all, I AM e to the x!"
Soon enough, e^x happend upon the operator. Feeling quite smug, he walked right up and extended a hand.
"Hi! I'm e^x!" chimed the confident natural number.
"Hi. I'm d/dy," replied the differential operator.

i dont get it...
He said he was d/dy which means he is the differential with respect to y, so e^x is a constant. The derivative of a constant is zero. Dammit, go to MU.
*DISCLAIMER* I suck ass at Math lingo, so if that's not entirely correct you can bite my skanky balls.
