Anyone taken this class? Any recommendations for/against it?

It's usually a good course, but I'm not sure if it's going to be offered next semester. The professor who usually teaches the course (Dr. Morgan) is gone for this year, and given math's goofy way of handling course offerings, I wouldn't be surprised if no one over there has realized they don't have anyone to teach it...
Regardless, I doubt anyone's previous experiences will be valid for the new prof, since the general quality of math courses are entirely dependant on the professor (moreso than any others, in my experiences).

307 - Combinatorics. Easy. Charatonik's a good professor. Yes, it is a 300 level math. If you're not serious about math or have a good notion of what combinatorics is then that's a bad idea. 300 level maths usually involve proofs and whatnot. Worthwhile though.

I think I am going to take it. I'm kinda scared. It is math and it starts with a 3.
Math 303 (Mathematical Modeling) - The easiest/most interesting math class I've ever had.
Thanks for the info on 307.

While it's true that upper level math courses may contain proofs, I had Math 307 last semester with Morgan and there wasn't a single proof. About a half-hour of homework once a week, a mid-term, and a final. Dunno what Charatonik would change though, since I never had him.
