Im looking for a puppy for my girlfriend for christmas. i was wondering if anyone had any info on where i could find a Teacup Yorkie or a shitsu maltese puppy in missouri or around springfield would be best. i look on the internet and i didnt see much and what i saw was really expensive

search on the internet....or go on springfieldnewsleader.com and search the classifieds...there is a humane society on norton road just west of kansas expressway....i doubt they will have that type of dog, but u could try

Look around the Gas Stations/Convenience Stores, Grocery Stores for a Publication called AD Tracker. It is free. Last time I looked there was perhaps a hundred kennel/breeder ads on puppies.

Be Prepared to spend up to $250 for one or higher for the breeds you are looking at. For that much money go to the kennel or breeder ask to look around. Find good clean conditions, dogs and pups in healthy condition.

If you do not feel comfortable buying from that person, move on. Trust your instinct. Do not get the cheapest one either. Good chance it won't last a year.

My parents have owned two different kennels, and my grandparents have one. I have seen alot of shitty Kennels, and if they don't want you to come to get the dog, tell them that it is a must for you, they are usually hiding something. If they try to give you that disease control bullshit, tell them that it is a deal breaker if they won't let you. Beware of dogs that are around 8 weeks old and by theirself, because 8 weeks old is the age when brokers by dogs, and they check them very close, so just because there are no visable signs, doesn't mean that there are no problems. Trust me, don't trust a dog person as far as you can throw them.

I agree with Swirls, horrible. But when my friends and I did it with a rabbit, now THAT was funny.

I too have 2 siamese cats. They share a tail, every once in a while i tie a string with a little mouse on it in the middle, and let them go at it for awhile.
