Does anyone know which teacher is the best for macroeconomics... ECON 122. The choices for the teachers are Julie Gallaway, Duo Zhang, Michael Davis, David Hentzel, and Ray Mowery. If you could help that would be great.

I had gallaway last semester. She was real nice and real easy. No problems with that class.

I had Dou Zhang last semester and thought she was good. Definately not the easiest (but, not the hardest, either), but makes up for it by tying in what you're learning with current events to help you see the purpose of all of it.

She's also probably one of the fairest (had a grading problem and she resolved it in a very fair way) of the teachers I've had here.

I had her my first semester here. Very, very boring. Nice lady, but the class put me to sleep more than any other i've taken here. The plus is that the class is easy and you should get an A with some minimal studying. I got a B without too much effort. Any way, i'm glad its over with.

Avoid Hentzel like the plague. I had him and a lot of the questions on the tests were from things he would mention once for about a minute.

I'd recommend taking Micro with Park rather than Macro if you can help it. If you absolutely wanna take Macro, I'd go for either Zhang or Galloway. Otherwise, take Micro with Park. Any professor who uses weed and rolling paper as an example of complementary goods is A-Ok in my book.

Indeed...he used corona and lime as well.

Has anyone had Ray Mowery? He is teaching the 6:00 to 8:45pm class in Spring 2005.

yeah ive got mowery this semester. class usually lasts 60-80 mins, and you really dont even need to show up. all you need to do is show up the class before the test and he goes through and tells you every single thing you need to hilight in the book to study for the test. there is homework every now and then (we just got hw #2 assigned on monday), but im pretty sure you get full credit just for turning some work in.

Mowery is the way to go I think. I've got him this semester and the class that is supposed to go from 6 until 8:45 rarely lasts past 7:30 if that. In addition there is rarely any homework and it is easy. And he pretty much tells you everything on the test the class before the tests.

I would like to 2nd Park. Cool guy. If you are not able to take a test on the day he has it, you can take it during finals weeks, as he has no final.

Davis wouldn't be a bad way to go either.

I'm taking his Sports Econ class now. If you ever need an easy humanities elective, look for this class. Next best thing to Basket Weaving 101.
