Try getting in touch with midwestjeepthing.com or capitalcity crawlers for more info. I'm not too sure of trails around here, so I can't help ya with that one.

I always thought anything with Devil in it sounded pretty bad ass, but I stand corrected, Devils Elbow just sounds like a severe case of tennis elbow.

Devil's Elbow is ~15 miles west of Rolla off I44, a very small town along Route 66. Take the SR 28 and Z hwy exit near St. Robert, drive down Z-highway for maybe 1/4 of a mile, then take a right on old route 66 and it takes you to Devil's Elbow. No clue where any trails are though, just the town.

Another playhole is where T highway goes over Little Piney Creek at Newburg. I've heard of mudding there, but lack a 4x4 so its out of the question. Go to Newburg (Doolittle exit, ~5 miles W. of Rolla on 144, left on T highway), cross the railroad tracks, drive maybe 1/10 of a mile and there is a bridge with a turnoff on the right.

or you just take the J hwy exit off of I44. then take the outer road that heads west on the left side of the highway. you're just backtracking with your way :P . but it doesnt matter. yeah, i never heard of places to go mudding down in devils elbow. i actually might know of one place but im not clear on where it was. if you were to fallow lukes directions, head east on z hwy after you got off the off-ramp. you'll pass a sweetwaters bbq shack (the best place to get ribs, *drools*) and drive about a mile. there will be a road on your right. head down that. if you pass a bikers bar before you reach a mile, that's the road. try somewhere in there. you might have to drive down further to find some places. yeah, missouri doesnt offer many places to go mudding but there sure was a great opportunity when we had all that rain. if my friend from iowa was here, he knows this area like the back of his hand and im sure he could tell you guys some places to go.

Haha, you're right. I've only been there from the west so i didn't think about going from J highway. But then again i'm not from the immediate area so i don't know the roads great yet.
