Most of us don't know it but a single Frappuccino can pack 740-calories and more fat than a McDonald's Big Mac.

Tsk tsk, Starbucks...

But Starbucks can't be the ruination of America!!!

Neither Morgan Spurlock nor foofoodar have said so.

I do whatever Morgan Spurlock says. If he told me to have sex with an aardvark, I'd do it.

Seriously though, you don't see people downing multiple frappucinos in one sitting (or at least I don't), whereas a typical meal for some people is a couple Big Macs, fries, and a gigantic soda.

Then the question becomes, assuming we want to blame a corporation for the ruination of America, is it really McDonald's fault that that is a typical meal for some people?

And a typical night for a lot of people includes more than one beer which isn't very healthy as well.

It is very easy to take in 500-1000 calories in a night of drinking, depending on how much of what type of beer you drink (even a Bud Light is around 100 calories, much more if you are drinking Guiness). I do drink too much, and indulge on fast food every now and then, but I also run 15-20 miles a week, which makes up for most of the extra calories.

But ( I should mention I don't drink any of this shit) At McD's you are having an entire meal, is that what frappucino is. I assumed they were just a snack... but you know what happens when you assume.

i just cant believe that anyone can get away with bringing a lawsuit against starbucks for having unhealthy food. what happened to free-market economy?
why are these people punishing starbucks for making money? supply and demand, it's a fact. People demand to stuff their faces with 990 calories and spend 17 dollars to have a coffee and a donut. Why shouln't Starbucks be allowed to supply it?
Lawsuits like this make me a saaaaad panda.

*go southpark*

Yeah, if you get the giant huge size. The small ("tall") size is more than enough frappucino for my needs. And whipped cream is not really neccessary.

you are on come august. as much as i like debating on the internet, it is not my most favored form of argumentation. Let's go face to face on this one. Heck, it will give us something to do when we stay up way too late at camp lakewood.

Isn't the lawsuit about not having the nutrition facts posted? I think (hope) that many less people would have frappucinos if they knew it was 770+ calories.

A good free-market economy carries with it the opportunity to sue anybody you want to. Civil liability is a great way to regulate the economy without undue government intervention.
