I got a full copy of Visual Studio through the MSDN program (I'm a CompSci), but it doesnt come with the seperate cd's in the files, just an installer. To get the help files, it asks you to insert the MSDN cd X, and I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get the help files. I went to the M$ site, but as far as I could tell, you would have to be the MSDN admin to get the files from there.

I don't think you can get the actual help files through the school. Someone might prove me wrong, though.

Did you have a specific question about Visual Studio?

My main problem at the moment is this, I created a project, a dialogue application. Now I am trying to go back and edit it, but I can't find the window where I actually add buttons/controls to the GUI.

In the solutions explorer go to the Resource Tab. Then navigate down to your dialog folder and double click the Dialog you want to open (probably not the aboutbox). If the tools do not show up I believe the shortcut is ctrl-alt-x. Or just go to the view menu and click tools.

Does that help?
