 Post subject: Thermal Putty-replace or add?

Yeah, try to use the 91% alcohol if you can, leaves less residue.

If it's the stock paste that AMD.. then glhf on getting that off.. otherwise, rubbing alcohol should do the trick quite nicely

Denatured alcohol works the best. 91% isopropal is my second choice. Pure acetone isn't too bad, but you need to be much more careful of the surface you use it on.

I wasn' really serious about the gas-I'm actually reconfiguring a dual PIII so I can run it at night and still sleep
