You can still use an SFTP client such as WinSCP to access your files from off campus. The software is available here if you don't already have it:

We don't have the documentation updated yet, but the new settings are as follows:

FTP Host: minersftp.umr.edu

User name: Your UMR Login
Password

Choose the radio button for SFTP (Allow SCP fallback)

In the Environment menu, you can choose the
Remote directory (Any of the following, depending on what you want access to):

(Home directory)
/users/joeminer

(Personal web directory, used to be the public_html folder in your AFS account)
/userweb/joeminer

(Dept’s web volume)
/deptweb/joesdept/public
/deptweb/joesdept/test

(Dept volume)
/dept/joesdeptfolder/
