Ok I know there are a few ways to make a desktop wireless and a ton of devices. I want to be able to connect to any wireless router and not have to worry about it being "b" or "g" or any other stupid letter they can come up with. I'll go ahead and throw out the USB option since all I have read about them is that they have weak connections.
I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, AMD Phenom II x4 955 Processor (3.2 GHz), 4 GB of RAM, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner....thats the main crap that takes up room and what makes this thing run. if you need more info on my setup I can supply w/e is needed.
Oh yeah, if having a setup that will rock no matter what type of router is being used I will be set up on what ever AT&T/U-Verse uses. I am not sure what they supply but if really needed I can try to find out. All help is appreciated!

buy a pci wireless adapter card that supports the N standard and you should be good. Read Newegg reviews to pick the right one. USB adapters are nice, but tend to get worse reception and are limited to ~440Mbps (usb 2.0 standard)

I put the motherboard on there with what I have connected to it just in case someone wanted to look up if I had available slots of some type. I wasn't sure if there was another option besides pci/pci express that could work better. I am not a computer genius. I only know what I have learned here and there which is not the greatest amount...which you may have been able to assume since I am asking about a wireless card and the fact I did list everything
For everyone else, thanks for actually helping out with relevant advice....thanks
