I heard from someone that WinAMP could be set to automatically play when it opens. Does anyone know how to set that up with 5.05?

too lazy to click "play"?

when you double-click a music file or playlist, the default action is to play it

No. My alarm clock sucks ass, and won't always wake me up. Was going to set a task to open WinAMP. How can I push play when I'm asleep, dumbass? If you can't help, don't bother posting

There's a plug in for winamp that will do just what you're wanting. I forget the name, but just google winamp + alarm clock

Just set the task to a specific song file and it will open winamp and autoplay.

You could also get a little program called wakemeup it will open up winamp and start playing either a selected file or a cd track. It is nice because it runs as a small app on your toolbar and is easyto setup.

Or you could just have windows execute a playlist instead of a specific song.

Ok, here's a complete newb question, but on XP Home, how do I get to the task scheduler? There isn't a nifty little icon for it down by my clock

who is the retard here? if you had given me that information in the first place i wouldn't have responded. i told you that winamp's default action is play when opening a file. that is helping with what limited information you had. this is like ---

"how do i turn on my computer?"

"power button"

"thanks retard i knew that, but when i hit the power button it won't boot windows got you are fucking stupid if you can't help don't respond"

if you can't provide enough information in your first post, don't bother asking a fucking quesiton

I asked how to do a simple thing. The reasons behind it didn't matter. If you couldn't help, then you shouldn't of said anything.

Technically, he did answer your question given the initial information only. His answer fails to remain in the helpful catergory after you further defined your problem.

WinAMP already loads with the most recent playlist/file all ready to go. What I am looking to do is to get it to start playing as soon as it opens. If you pissants can't help, then stfu and go diddle yer grandmothers
