anyone know of something that will recover data from a hd where the partition data has been fubar?

This happened to me last year when I tried to use partition magic and it froze. I dont think there is any way to recover it. Sorry bud.

can't find r-studio on seek, and the demo only does files up to 64k

Sounds similar to a problem i'm having with an old computer. We're trying to get the factory restore disc to work but it says my partitions are screwed up. I fdisk it and delete the partition. Still says it's screwed. and trying to format just gives me the same error. Anything here that will fix that sort of problem? It'll run just fine (albeit hideously slow) through normal operation, just wiping it clean so we can sell it is the problem.
