when i ever i play a graphic intensive game my mobo starts to beep randomly. It isn't a set pattern of beeps. i dont think anything is overheating cause i have had that before and it was an alternating beep tone like an ambulance. i have a abit an-7 and my vc is a 9800xt. any suggestions?

It could be heat. but I have a much more likely idea? Are you pushing more than 3 or 4 buttons at once on the keyboard, do you have a PS2 keyboard and a USB mouse.

it starts as soon as i load the game up, before i hit any buttons but maybe a single mouse click to get through the menues. from what you said trunks that narrows it down to a heat problem? if so what do i do about it? by the by- it says that my cpu temp is ~62 C

Yeah 62C is really fucking hot. That's probably your problem. Try to keep it at least 45C under load.

You may need to reseat the heat sink, being sure to clean everything with alcohol and correctly apply a high-quality thermal paste.
