How can I burn a movie file that is a video clip in the windows media player format on to a DVD-r so that it will play in a standard DVD player?

you need a buring program(duh) and tell it to make an mpeg-2. ntsc all that stuff. anyways, nero should let you make a dvd. you'll need a dvd-r for it to work in all players. only the new players can do +r
