Out of curiosity, what is the advantage of a Bin/Cue over an ISO file?

From my experience, they both function the same, but the ISO tends to have a smaller file size, usually around 50+ MB smaller.

Anyone that can enlighten me?

From what I can understand, Bin/Cue and ISOs are just about the same thing. The difference is just the encodeing of the files. The ISOs are more or less just Bin/Cue files in the same file. As for the sizes, they should be about the same. The ISOs, I believe, are smaller because they are compressed.

Just don't hold me to this statement, I'm only a EE. I may be totally wrong.

You can get video files a little more smaller by turning it into an mpeg using VCD Gear.

.iso files can only handle a single data track, bin/cue can handle multiple tracks, audio tracks, and just about anything else. and some other formats like ccd can also handle subchannel data.
