I restarted my computer this morning, and my user account won't come up. The only one that comes up is my account that I never use. My other one has all of my setttings and this one just pisses me off. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I'm assuming you're running XP.

Restart to see if your account comes up.

If it doesn't then...
After restart, at the login screen (I'm assuming you have the icons that you click on) press alt+ctrl+delete twice and it will take you to the other login screen. Type your account name and password. If it works, then your account just got hidden or missed or something. If it doesn't, then your account got screwed up or something.

I really not sure what can cause it to hide, but I know how to hide an account using regedit. Just be careful as you can really screw up windows if you change the wrong thing.

Using this method...
Start -> Run -> regedit -> and in the tree, go to
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|SOFTWARE|Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList
in that folder, if you see a DWORD variable named the same as your account name and is set to 0, change it to 1. (0 hides the account)

If you don't, then right click and create a DWORD variable and name it the same as account name and set it to 1. (I'm not sure if this will work)

I'm not sure if this will fix your problem, its just my knowledge of hiding accounts.

in user management you can choose to make different users logins available on the fast user switching page.
