Thats useful, but unfortunately I need at least 256 more. Will DDR400 work in conjunction with DDR333?

it will only run at ddr333 speeds, but yes, in most cases you can mix modules of different speeds, they just step down to the lower speed one. its recommended that you get matching dimms, but usually doesnt matter
