I'm looking for a 5 port or more switch/hub. Needs to be fanless. I've currently got a 24 port 10/100 managed switch that's loud as hell. An 8 port 10/100 switch would be the best option.

if its those ones from um surplus you can just take all but one, probably all the fans out of it if you are only going to use at most 8 ports

otherwise go to IT and check one out, say one of your wall ports dont work, you just have to return it at the end of the year

Is something wrong with one of your fans, because the fans are no where near quiet but with the other computers you have, they shouldn't much nosier than the rest of your room.

let me think, you're selling a 10 base T+2 hub. I can buy a 10/100 x24 Managed Switch for $5 anytime I'm in columbia-not worth it for me to buy from you.

Dude I don't think anyone is going to sell you a switch for less than $5. Might as well just hold on to the hardware at that point, $5 isn't worth the effort of the deal. Maybe for a business but not for people. What do I know. Looks like you're best off waiting til you get back to Columbia.
