My wife bought this car about 5 years ago and drove it for a year before we bought a newer one. It has been parked behind my mom's place, but she sold her house yesterday, so now I have nowhere to keep this car anymore.
I don't need it, I don't drive it, I already have 2 others. However, for the past week I have been getting this car back into a drivable condition. Here are the specs:
1989 Oldsmobile 88 Royale - 3.8L V6 3800 (160 HP to the front wheels) - 4-Speed Automatic Transmission - Power Windows and Locks (although the front 2 windows are a bit slow) - Black Steelies on all 4 wheels, they'll accept most hubcaps - Onboard driving assistant, basically the precursor to integrated touchscreens in dashboards - 20 Gallon fuel tank about 1/2 full - 156,000 miles - Nearly flawless interior, if you ignore the fabric falling off the ceiling
Some cons that will need to be addressed by whoever buys the car: - The windshield will not pass an inspection and will need to be replaced. I've found some places that'll do it for you for ~$200, or you can do it yourself and buy the windshield for ~$100, but that is very hard to do. - The gas in the tank is about 4 years old, so if you need it to pass an emissions test, it will probably need fresh fuel - Front tires are beyond bald. I have a source that can get some replacements for free, but mounting them is about $12 each.
Now that you know what you are getting into, the $500 I'm asking is negotiable, but you can count on spending about another $250 getting it legal and licensed. This car is still a very cheap bargain.
Now for the Pics!
