i'm looking to purchase and LCD that I can gut just for the LCD and the controler. anyone know where i can buy them with like missing cases or stuff like that? i've already looked here http://www.surplusvillage.com/

perhaps there is a place where you can buy just the LCD....

now that i think about it... i have an old laptop(thinkpad 350c) i'd sell for $30. i don't know what you're wanting to do with it, but the screen's only 9".

you might try samsclub floor demos they had a nec 1765lcd for $230. with moderate damage.

that is the exact one i'm trying to get.....how do you know that they have this? could you pick it up for me.....i'm not a sam's club member. also, what does moderate damage entail...?

sorry I live to far away. It would be worth it for you to become a member.
Every sams club that sold this model has or had a demo. they are clearince priced down, then if they are damaged they are less. very few have damaged screens becouse they monitor has a hard glossy cover, but that is not imposible to damage, but if you take it off its as good as new, lcd wise.

I have a 17" widescreen xga format lcd panel that was part of a suplus lot somewhere. There are several controllers out there to control this widescreen 17" lcd panel, ranging in price.

I'd sell the lcd by itself for $85.

good luck finding a controller for under $100

You'd be better off just buying a normal LCD monitor
