I'm looking to buy a KVM switch if anyone has one they want to sell (for linux and windows). Preferably 4 port.

Also I would need cables too...

And/or does anyone have any suggestions for a switch that will work w/ Linux and Windows.

Thanks,
gaw7b6@umr.edu

Is installing VNC on all your machines an option? It's a lot cheaper than a four-port KVM switch. Makes cabling much cleaner since you only need power and ethernet, although you would need a monitor/keyboard/mouse for the initial OS install.

I tried VNC, when I try to connect it to linux it just brings up a grey screen with an "X" for the mouse pointer. No icons at all.

I might not have it configured correctly on the linux, since I am linux newbie.

I got a belkin kvm (I'm not willing to part with), it does not matter what OS you have. Make sure you get one that can switch with the keyboard. I can go between either computer and with two hits to the control button.

I'd reccomend newegg.com if you don't find one here.

I have a belking just like that. It's only a two-port though.
