I ordered an XP 2100+ palamino core from Newegg, they shipped me a Thoroughbred core instead. They don't have any palamino core ones in stock and they are going to charge a 15% restock fee if I return it.
The problem is my old Asus A7M266 can't handle the T-bred cores, only the palamino. So, if someone had a board that could take the T-bred and had a palamino I would be willing to trade straight up. The T-bred is actually a better core, but I just want a damn chip that will work in the old board that is faster than a 1.2 thunderbird core. I'd consider slower palamino cores as well.
I know the processor is good it worked just fine in an A7N8X Deluxe board that is housing a Barton core processor.

My suggestion: Bitch and whine for that RMA. If they didn't ship you the right item, they've not lived up to your expectations. Fight for your rights as a consumer.
If they don't have what you want, demand a refund. That's all there is to it.
Newegg is usually pretty good about making up for their own screwups if you have customer service look up the order you made and have the documentation and such. I agree, bitch and moan, but do it with a good case and I would think newegg would wave the fee and send you what you asked for or refund your money.
If you're still looking, I have a 2000+ Palomino core (as far as I know - I don't think T-Bred cores existed when I built my computer) if you'd wanna trade for that.

I have a 1800+ that was improperly unlocked...so you can go 1700+/1900+ w/o any voltage changes. I ran it in a server for about a year at 1900+ with no problems.
I'm personally a huge fan of eXcaliberPC and MWAVE. I've had nothing but success with them.
