I am going to be setting up an action half-life server in the near future. I am a beta tester for it, but at some point it will end up open for public use. I figured putting a message here to get the word out to everyone.

It seems that most Miners are a CS bunch. Hopefully you are willing to play other games. Action, if you do not know, is a mod that attempts to bring Movie Realism to Half-Life. You may remember the Quake 2 variant of the same name. Its the same game give or take a few features.

Action has stunts. You can dive and roll and lie prone to take out your opponents with your Akimbo Pistols or your Handcannon. Snipe a camper from far away or knife him up close--like Leon, the Professional. Make like Chow Yun Fat and give 2 Gun madness a try. When you get hit, make sure to bandange. You may be down to 5 health, but you can still kill with the best of them..that is, unless you haven't bandaged and are bleeding to death. Its fun, thats for sure. But it is not CS. Remember that ;-p

At least give it some try, you might end up liking it. And yes, this sounds an awful lot like a big commercial, and I guess thats what it is. Its just an attempt to get some more players and give them a taste of something that isn't Counter-Strike.
