I've heard a rumor from several people here and there that Seek42 is dying. Well, that would be news to me, seeing as how I'm looking at the source code for the new one as I type this.

Yes, I did say it'd be ready on the first day of this semester, but I'm fuckin' busy - and AJ and I would like to make sure everything is quality and will be rolling out functionality throughout.

I guess the rumor has been discussed/rumoring at various levels, at meetings etc.

As far as this new music-purchasing system, that is a service being rolled out by IT, and is in NO WAY RELATED TO SEEK42. That would infer that Seek42 is officially related to UMR, which it is not. And, as to whether this new service would make certain features of Seek42 irrelevant - I would doubt it - and even if it did the forums still exist. So, yeah.

Now, if you have bothered to read this whole post - where most of the people who facilitate the rumor won't - educate others. And sharply make fun of them for being dumb.

In all reality, Joe and I are very excited about the new Seek42 and some of the features we will be rolling out with in the next few weeks. Keep your pants on people (well... if you're a guy that is..) it's almost here.

Images in signatures are gay. You get assholes who have like 6 pictures or whatever, and even on campus yer computer has an aneurysm trying to load it all and farts out on you.

Sigs should never be longer than the post content. And because posts are often only 1 line long, sigs should take up no more than one line.

I've no clue. It just seemed that sometime really early in my freshman year (F03) they disabled the ability to post images in your avatar. And for that, I will forever be greatful.

Or else, knowing these goobers, we'd have Tubgirl or Lemonparty in every other sig
