Thoughts anyone, besides why the hell is it almost 60% more than the Japanese version?

hmm a Mac or a playstation 2? Odd, you could get a relatively useless computer for > $700 (that would already be outdated) or a new relatively useless computer for > $1200. OR you could get a 100% useless 'computer' ps2 that would be even less expandable than a mac, and lock you into SONY's decision on when/if you'll recieve updates/bugfixes to the core (I'm sure they won't make updating it much a priority anyhow, since it's such a niche market). This totally ruins the point of linux and being free to change the system as you please, unless you're ready to do some hardware level coding....
Perhaps you should try a PC?
