Hi, I had Nimda (before format c: and fdisk /mbr wiped it out hopefully) and now I'm off the network and get the titular error whenever I try to renew my NIC. Can anyone help me? I dont really want to call CIS for this one. Thanks.

Ok, so how do I go about getting it unblocked?

Call the helpdesk, they'll tell you if it is in fact blocked. Then you'll probably have to email Dave Dearth or something to get unblocked.

You can check the following web site to see if your system is blocked. It will tell you why it was disabled and what steps you can take to rectify the problem. It seems that they usually refer you to Karl Lutzen or Dave Dearth, as Alcahuete pointed out.
