well, being a normal cheap college student i just downloaded the copy of auto cad 2002 off of seek. well, at first i just installed it but then i noticed there was an expiration date. well, after i realized the expiration, i think the program had expired. so, i just deleted it and reinstalled it with the crack. so i ran the program and it doesnt ask about registering it but i cant save any of my projects. when i go to save a program, it says this program has expired and then closes. i'm assuming im not installing the crack correctly. here's what i've been doing:
1. install autocad with the given key
2. copy and place the crack in the installed folder (for me it was c:/program files/auto cad 2002)
3. ran the crack and supposidly it replaces or adds a few *.dll files
4. then take the cracked acad2002.exe file and copy and replace it with the original in the installed folder.

Yeah, 2004 is good. i have an ISO of it and the crack is on the cd. i didnt mess with it much, but i coudnt see much of a difference between it and 2002. i'd suggest giving that a shot.

The only big difference between ACAD2002 and ACAD 2004 is an increase in system resource usage and a little more inflated code. As was the only difference between 2000 and 2000i. There was a decent amount of difference between 2000i and 2002, some of it had to do with stability issues, but the update caused more problems for more people than it fixed.
Personally, I think your BEST bet is to get ACAD2000. Because the lack of appreciable differences since ACAD 2000, most corporations haven't bothered to change over from ACAD 2000. Heck, many of them are still running R14. ACAD 2000 runs faster on a smaller machine; once patched, has relatively few stability problems; and if you for some reason want to go legal (the SWEETEST part yet), student editions of ACAD 2000 are FULLY FUNCTIONING and can be had from a reseller for around $160.
"Install with the serial 000-00000000 or any other working serial
1) Import adesk.reg into your registry.
2) Put the included LICPATH.LIC in your Autodesk 2004 directory, ie: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2004
3) All done!
-licpath.lic is the single user license.
-If you need a network license for a network install use license.lic.
-Check the documents for information about network installs.
Enjoy."
