The helpdesk claims i can map SAMBA to gain access to my 'home' drive on the campus network. That's the W: drive I think. They say "All of the dept Samba drives can be listed by simply browsing to sambadept." I tried, and it won't accept my login and password. My network passwords have been synched. Does anyone know if this is their problem or mine? I use Windows 2000 if that makes a difference. Thanks.

your's most likely, make sure you've applied the "plain password" registry fix from sambautils, and then reboot. Also, the "home" drive they are refering to is the S: drive when your on campus, I've never seen a W:, is that novell maybe?
