Seems there's over 200 "xbox 1" games that are backwards compatible for the launch.
Backwards compatible? I think you are a wee bit mistaken there. "Backwards" would assume that the X-Box 1 came out after the 360. I believe you mean forward compatible.
Since it hasn't been said yet, by anyone, in this thread, I'll make it my duty to reply. The "backwards" compatibility comes from the console's ability to play old games, NOT the old games ability to be played on the new console.

Well, Wally World has games on sale. Kameo was out, and when I asked the guy about getting it, he said they got in PGR3 today, but it was still in a box. I asked if it was for sale, he called around, and I walked out with a shiny new 360 game. I can't guarantee it will be available when the system launches (I only reserved Madden back in St. Peters), so I picked it up. Put it in your computer's DVD drive, have XP open the video files, and it tells you to put the disc in an Xbox 360. Booklet was a good read, though...
I'm lucky enough to get a pre-order and actually get it.
I get it 8am in the morning from UPS where I work. Even got 6 games coming with the bundle i ordered. So am I the only one who knows that they're getting one for sure? Or is everyone waiting outside Wal-mart and K-mart?
Yep, I'm number 1 in line at the Gamestop in St. Peters. Picking it up at midnight. I already have PGR3 and a wired controller (which works great on the PC, highly recommended), and I have Madden pre-ordered and am thinking about picking up a faceplate for fun.
Online... Ebgames.com and Gamestop.com are selling them now, but I got mine off of eBay a couple of weeks ago (and paid a premium for it, too). It's extremely comfortable. I can't hardly play on a normal "S" controller anymore after using it. Well, Kameo was displayed, but the lady remarked, "I don't think I was supposed to display those. I didn't notice the 360 on it." However, they let me have PGR3, so if you bug them, I think you can convince them. Just ask for Ryan or Shelly, because that's who they kept calling wondering if they could sell the game to me.
Nope. When Microsoft released the controllers about 3 weeks ago, I tried everyday because I didn't want to spend the extra $15 or so to order it off of eBay. No luck, even today when I bought PGR3. Games are up, but no fucking accessories. Funny, the same person that insited nothing Xbox 360 related would be sold until the 22nd sold me my game today...
