Ever since the update on Sunday, most people with source have been experiencing problems. I believe they just recently in the last few hours released a new patch that will hopefully take care of all the problems. I personally was experience about 20% of the normal fps I should get. I know there are various problems people have been getting from CS:S locking up, to it restarting their computer. So I am going to dl the patch now, and hopefully it fixes the problem.

Valve can lick a dick. All they're good at is fucking up games.

I've heard that problem was that they disabled directx8 support, so if your card does not support directx9, you're basically screwed.

The last update or so didn't disable directx 8.0 support, rather it forced everyone's game to directx 9.0. To fix this right click on counterstrike in the Play games steam window, go to Launch options, and type '-dxlevel 80' or 81. This forces it back.
