Has anyone found any information on whether or not the 360 will be backwards compatible with Xbox games. Also will original xbox games be usuable on Xbox Live on the 360. Such as Halo 2 being playable online while Im using a 360 but being able to play people using an original xbox.

from what i remember reading, but dont hold me to this, is that some of the games will work on the 360 but not all, since they changed graphics cards theres apparently a large enough conflict that its not worth their time to make all games backwards compatable, but the more popular ones will be. as for xbl i dunno, but id assume itd still work for games like halo 2 if they work on the 360
that just from what i think i remember reading but i might be completly wrong

You're pretty close, well at least from my understanding of it.
From what I understood, only the premium Xbox360, the one with the hard drive, will be able to play original Xbox games. Basically, for each previous Xbox game that MS wants to run on the 360, it will have to be emulated. The only way that MS can store the code for the emulation, plus add more titles is using some of the space on the HD.
