toca 3-fun game, challenging, but really twitchy with a steering wheel (i probably dont have it set right yet)

gtr2 - more of a racing sim, not as fun, but looks amazing. really twitchy with a keyboard (obviously, you dont want to turn the wheels to full lock and full throttle while going around a hairpin)

swat4-fun game, but the little crap like reporting back to base and ziptying everybody gets annoying. i just want to freaking shoot someone, not actually arrest them.

I didn't think GTR2 it was even playable with a keyboard. It's a great game (I love sims).

SWAT4 is really fun, too. Getting full element co-op is tons of fun, and the SSF Realism Mod is absolutely essential (http://www.sheriffsdpt.com/downloads.html).

Bioshock is an awesome game. I'm in the middle of playing it right now (PC).

Dirt is fun. Best of the Colin McRae series of games. Whether it's the best racing game on the 360 is debatable.

Forza 2 is great. I wish they had some of the racing modes brought back from Forza 1, but the updated graphics are great.

Vegas is fun in small bursts. I really liked the realism of the previous R6 games, but R6V is a great game if you just want to get in there and shoot-em up.

Some other games:

Medal of Honor: Airborne (PC) - looks amazing on a DX10 card. Very fast-paced, but sacrificed a little realism for action (not to the R6Vegas degree). Very short game: 6 missions, a total of about 4 hours the first time through, and could probably do it all in 2 hours after experience.

Flight Sim X - Not new, but good god it has great plane-graphics.

C&C 3 - brought back the extreme fast-paced nature of C&C (RA2 and back). The classic side-bar building is back!

Supreme Commander - Awesome game. HUGE battlefields (up to 2500 square miles). Big maps allow for theater-style play, where many battles can essentially be going on on the same map. Transporting troops/units in for beach landings as getting fire support from afar (but still on the map), is just plain great.

OpenTTD - Very not new, but a few people remember Transport Tycoon, and this is the open-source version with multitudes of improvements (including multiplayer!) Very fun and addicting.

Gears of War (9.5/10)
- awesome game
- it sucks to get stuck on walls every once in a while
- great online play

damn that is short. I played the demo and it was pretty cool landing where you want, and when you die you get sent back in with another parachute(its almost motivation to die)

It is very short, I've beaten it as well, but good fun anyway. They've instituted some novel features that add to the gameplay that I enjoy, so all in all a worthwhile game.

Hellgate London. Still in alpah build and thus crashes like crazy on my vista box. Seems to crash even more after installing a "fix". Oh well, the game is pretty fun, although it is only online right now, I want it for the single player game.

Also finally got around to installing Titan Quest Immortal Throne expansion. Haven't played any of the new quests, but the new skill tree it adds is awesome, slightly better grapchical effects, and much better ways to spend the gobs of money you accquire just through normal play.

In two weeks I will be adding Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts to this list as well.

Ah, TQIT is very fun. The addition of artifacts is just one of the many features that makes it essential for anyone who owns TQ. I haven't played in awhile, but I'm about half-way through the final skill level (legendary) with a level 58 character.

I've been playing CoD4 on the 360. Lots of fun, and the light rpg aspect is really cool.

Going to buy World in Conflict on Tuesday...

I sitll have only played on normal. My first character to beat it barelly did and playing on epic would require way to much running away and kiting to be fun I think. I have a lvl 27 warrior tank about to beat normal and a lvl 20ish caster (new dream class) that I am playing through on pace with another guy I live with. My warrior will probably be able to beat the game on epic without to much pain.

A little Bioshock. Mostly getting ready for Halo 3, Mass Effect, ET: QW, etc. and so forth.

I'm excited about Portal/TF2/HL2:Ep2 (The Orange Box), as well as Minerva: Metastasis 3 which should be released in the coming weeks (hopefully before the Ep2 release date)
