I don't think there will be consoles at this event. I'll try to get someone on here who knows for sure, but that's what the main organizer told me recently.

As the lan host, I wasn't planning on offering a console section until next semester's lan. I was planning on a computer only event for this lan. The main problem I see with consoles at this lan is you'll probably want to run them on projectors. The way we plan on setting up, I think we'll have only one free wall, which will be dedicated to showing game demos, music videos, tournament matches, etc. I wouldn't mind allowing you all to bring a console OR a computer, but not both. Wait until next semester's lan Also, we're only allowing players to bring in one monitor unless it's absolutely necessary that they need 2. You'll have to make a strong argument on this point If you all have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me at dsp4g5@umr.edu Thanks!

dont know if you actually went to the last one, but almost all of us console people only brought a console. And until kevin brought his much later, there was only 1 projector being used.
2 i guess with Will's
but ya you sound like you know exactly how it works.
yea, I was at the last lan too and the way you all had the consoles set up was fine. I won't have a problem with you all bringing consoles this time, I just don't want people bringing in their computer, laptop, and 3+ conoles and have an entire table dedicated to just their gaming systems. We just don't have the room this semester. Due to the size of CS 209, we'll probably have to set up tables against the walls. So this time, we won't have those annoying desks in the room. Last semeseter we had plenty of room because only about 25 show up. I'm planning on having ~60 there (50 + the lan staff), so space is important.
