Saw this earlier, thought some people might like it. It looks like this could be an interesting update.

Probably not going to start playing again till the soldier update comes out. Pretty much the only class I play anymore. The sniper update is going to be annoying as crap though, people already complain when there is more than one sniper on a team.

I don't know about you guys, but I hate it when games get updated well after their release date in what appears to be a move to balance the classes... I mean, c'mon, they're changing the game - I own it, haven't played it for a long time now, and when I do play it, I'm going to have to figure out the new mechanics as I relearn the old stuff. They took years to develop TF2 - you'd think they could have come up with some of this before it came out.

Sounds like someone has a problem with adapting.

I disagree, I love the new content. When Company of Heroes got it's first few patches it changed the game a ton but made it so much more fun to play even though old strats were nerfed. With the TF2 updates they haven't been doing it to balance the classes, they just add new stuff. You don't need the new weapons to have a fair chance and still have fun.

Maybe not with adapting, but with unfinished products going to market :p

To be perfectly honest, I don't play TF2, so that may be the case (I honestly have no idea). But to someone who was initiated into games with Counter-Strike, continuous updates/modifications sound amazing. Counter-Strike became shitty first of all because of a large proportion of its player-base becoming amazing quickly (which discourages new people from joining the game when they're racking up ratios of 1-20) and second because no new maps were released on a timely basis (which encourages way too many servers to include shitty fan-made maps into the rotation). Continuous updates from the developer of the game that alter the balance of the game sound annoying in the short-term and imperative in the long-term.

Eh, I'm not at all impressed by the new unlockable delivery system. I've spent >16 hours playing since the update and have gotten a total of two weapons (both of which I had already).

Sounds like all my friends online except one, who seems to get a drop every 2 hours.

There've been a lot of servers made for idling, lol. You just join and sit and wait and do nothing except wait more. It's ridiculous that Valve thought they would avoid whoring of things for weapons by doing this. How could they not think of idling? Regardless. I know of zero people who think that this system makes the game better.

Also a lot of people I know are annoyed by how much better the spy is now. I don't think they think it's OP (yet) but we'll see how it goes.

To be honest, the dead ringer needs a nerf. I wouldn't like to see it nerfed because it sounds like so much fun to play around with, but with it equipped a fully charged headshot will only do 35 damage to you. You can't even be killed by the train if you have the dead ringer on.
