Anyone play Halo on the PC? Or do you all just play on xbox? I play on both but was wondering if there were any people that would be interested in playing some Halo on the PC together. thanks

The PC version of Halo is absolutely horrible...particularly online play.

I got a new PC a couple of months ago and I finally got around to playing through this game. I'd just like to say that it is fucking awesome, and playing a FPS with a mouse is more fun than with a controller any day of the week, for any game.

Not more fun for any game, maybe easier... Halo is better and more fun for the console...

I'm all for HAlo on xbox but I do not own an xbox and i do own a pc and I do play halo on it. Halo for the xbox is probably a better play but for those who don't have an xbox halo pc comes in a close second. On that note, who plays Halo on the pc? Who wants to play multiplayer? hey, I don't know if you xbox freaks know what you're talking about! I have Halo for PC and its fricken awesome!! PARTICULARY the online play. Face it, playing shooters on a console is just gay. It's a known fact that shooters control BETTER on a keyboard/mouse than they ever possiblely could on a controller. I'll play from time to time on my roomates xbox, but it sucks. Everytime I play I can't help but feel an enourmus lack of control and precision that I'm used to getting on a PC.

Also, need I remind you that HALO was originally destined for the PC?

I'm both a pc gamer and console gamer. Halo was originally supposed to be for the PC but it came out for the XBox because it was a better choice. The XBox makes the game balanced with everyone having the same system running it. Halo PC net play is so laggy even compared to Halo on XBC. The netcode for the PC sucks big time, especially when people magically "teleport" from one spot to another and you're wondering to yourself why you're not hitting them. Yes, there are few times when the game won't lag at all even on the best connection.

The controller doesn't lack precision and control, it's the gamer who lacks the coordination to actually use a joystick. The PC game only has a few things going for it like the ability to get new levels.. The flamethrowers a little over balanced especially with the horrible netcode.

Face it, some things are just made better for the console, and some better for the PC.. Halo is definitely better for the XBox.

Halo was originally designed for the Mac.

my bad...however I do know that it was being developed for PC before they decided to make a XBOX version.

Yeah I agree that Halo for the xbox is a better play but you do not get all the possibilities that you get in the PC version.

Once they make those possibilities actually available for the PC version then I might give it a second chance. Possibilities mean nothing unless they get 'em to work right.
