my ps2 cds are getting messed up so i was going to make backup copies, and i dont feel like soldering a bunch of crap in, so which chip should i get, and do solderless chips actually work?
Your best bet is probably the swap magic discs and a flip top. I've heard mixed reviews on the solderless chips. If you know how to solder, I would definitely suggest an actual chip. Magics can be had for $20, which is less than the swap magic combo. If you don't know how to solder, I'm sure somebody in your house knows how to.
However, your ps2 cds are most likely actually dvds, so you'll need a dvd burner to "backup" most of your games.
