arcades in the area?

St. louis.

Crestwood or nearby areas. There are a few arcades there. It's about a 1-1.5hr drive.

yeah i know that there's quite a few in St. Louis (Dave and Busters = t3h w00t and Ameristar has one too, I think)

But I was kinda aiming for something a bit closer

Well you can hope that there could be an arcade in the Havner center. The campus has lots of gamers and DDR people so it would have support.

so basically what you're saying is, all the sweaty losers from TJ come ONTO campus, and bug the shit out of the people who moved out of the dorms to get away from those fucks? I don't think there are any in the area, but you could always try out mame. It emulates most all arcade games up to 1995. And if you want an authentic experience, you could look into building your own cabinet. I converted a space duel cabinet this summer and cost me about $300. So if you are looking for any help, you can PM me.

Edit: Also, they have a pretty nice arcade at Brady's in Mizzou. If DDR is your thing, they have 2 machines, they also have a 2 slot Neo Geo cab up there. Last time I was there they had Metal Slug 2 and Neo Turf Masters in. Also up there is Soul Calibur 2, a couple of capcom fighters.

although I play DDR once in a while (I'm by no means good, or a fanatic for that matter... but doesn't make the occasional play out of the question), it's not really the reason I ask... ah well, I'll probably just go to that Ameristar in St. Charles
