You play a vampire (of course) not more than 25 years into your unlife. The world is a time period similar to ours, but with more of a "gothic-punk" feel. There's about 1 vampire to 100,000 humans. Instead of classes there's 13 clans to belong to, each with their own collective attitude, skills, flaws and more. The system is similar to other White Wolf games and runs solely off of d10s and is success based. For example, your character can roll 4 dice for some action, and the more successes you get, that is, if you get any at all, the better you accomplish the task.

Haven't played a pen and paper version, but have played some of the comp games, and loved the show on TV. Count me in
I've got the V:TM game on my computer as well (also can't wait till next month when the new one comes out ... HL2 engine baby!). Dev//Null (I think his name was) is a great example of the Malkavian clan...
The system is kind of similar but the numbers for attributes are on a lower scale (a starting character sheet has ranks 1-5 for all attributes and skills). Disciplines are almost the same, but harder to come across (especially if they're not one of your clan's predetermined 3 ... no magic scrolls here). And yes, humanity does matter just as much in the pen and paper as it does the computer game.
Link time (just so you pplz can see... remember this probably won't happen until next semester)
White Wolf's official V:TM site ... has character sheets, clan info (in the camarilla, sabbat, and independent links) and a few other things.
AH HAH! I knew there was something on quizilla... I'll throw these in just for fun.
here and hereand here try those out take a peek here for a more in-depth description (or if you're just too lazy to take the surveys and want to browse)... just scroll down to "The Clans" and mouse over the pictures/links for a few sec and the name will show up.
