Anyone else having problems with doom 3? I installed it from the 3 cd's and cracked it. If I try single player the progress bar finishes loading then Doom locks up and crashes. I set up a LAN game which worked for a while then crashed. I tried dropping everything to the lowest settings, still same result.

P4 2.8ghz
9800 Pro AIW
1gb PC2700

Yeah, you'll need to install the beta drivers for it, I have it...

they use the darkness a lot. teh graphics look amazing -- when it's bright enough to see the wall that is 2 ft in front of you. there are some console comands (set r_gamma n i think is one of them for 1<n<2) that will add a little more light letting you see all the detail.

the shadows are really crazy though.

Can you get your computer online? Because I'm having that same problem and need that driver if possible.

I tired putting \\GMAN and \\yourIP and it didn't do anything.

The beta Doom drivers will probably work the best, get them off of ATI if you can but I got mine off of FilePlanet.

Warning: lol, forgot, if you have AIW card, your going to have to reinstall all the other drivers one at a time if you install the betas.

I went to the ATI site and got their latest catalyst and install that. When I click on the control center for it, that doesn't work, but doom does now so whatever.

Yeah, but they still didn't work properly when I did that. I'll just overwrite the old drivers when Doom gets old.

If you havn't got the drivers by now, check to see if you can get in now, I changed some settings.
