Are we still allowed to put links to our computers when we have something shared, as long as we don't link to the file or folder directly, or mention the reason for the link?

Example:

Hey, this is a great game! I give it 5 out of 5!

Since this thread'll probably be seen by Ryan in the near future...

I just realized something that I'd subconciously flagged as out-of-place a while back. I couldn't put my finger on it 'till just now. There's no "Server announcements" on the front page like there used to be. How are announcements supposed to be seen? (Admit it, nobody checks the Annoucements forum regularly.)

i like how you don't see hte problem with linking out your computer names in this forum. ryan made the seek42 engine so you can search for shared files. not so that you can discuss where and how to find stolen copyrighted material.

seek42 in itself is just a search engine, it commits no crime. it's an address book. if you wanted to 'download' you could do it without seek. in fact i know of several computer addresses on this network where i can find new downloaded material without the use of seek.
