anyone out there play this game?

i want to get some action going so if anyone is down lets me know, we need to get many people cause there are no bots in this game.

I play ET quite a bit, I am down for a lan.

I'd love to run a campaign over the LAN sometime.

There are bots for et, but they aren't exactly useful. The bots have been created by a modder, and since I don't use them (people are so much better) I don't know how many classes they have done, and which maps they have programmed the bots to be used in. I hear the bots are pretty damn good shots, but have no clue as to how to win a map, but that is all hearsay, like I said. If someone wants to host a local game, thats cool with me, I'm all in.

what day and times would people be in to play?

thursdays are wide open for me, and almost everynight of the week saturday during the days

I'm good most weeknights cept for tuesday before 9:30. Aside from that I'm game whenever.

i got a question about et pro...

i used to play on the K_O_G server a lot and w/e so et_pro was installed automaticallly.

how do go about installing it stand alone and getting maps that will work with et_pro... it has been a while since i have played, but this battlefront bullshit is getting old so i wanted to start this game up again.

i tried getting et pro to work with the stand alone files, but it actually screwed up my install so any help would be good

We play version 1.0 of ET

Et pro is a mod for ET, it doesn't really change much, its not a total conversion. It does level the field when it comes to competition play, which shrub (another really popular mod) doesn't do.

The easiest way to install ET pro, client side version, is to join an ET pro server, the server will then auto-download the files you need to play in ET pro. There aren't any mod specific maps, any map can be used with et pro. It sounds like you probably deleted some important .pk3 files when you messed with ET pro. I recommend reinstalling ET, patching it, and then joining an ET pro server, that is the easiest way.

If you want to HOST a game in ET pro, you will need to find the server side version of ET pro (I don't know how to setup an ETpro server, so don't ask me, go to http://www.enemy-territory.com, read the server forum, and read the stickies first) and install it.

Version 1.0 is (obviously) unpatched. I would recommend getting the patch.

I can't play on a 1.0 server, I get a client-server mismatch error, so, unless you guys want to patch, I won't be able to play.
