No idea where to put this.

Does anyone know what the official AirSoft gun site is?

I'm not sure if airsoft is actually like a brand name or something.. I thought it was just a type of plastic bb gun or whatever.

I know this is a big site with a lot of guns etc.. if this isn't what you want, maybe you can find a link or info that you want here.. someone else might know better than me.

So, is kinda like paintball. Lots of companies make them. Was wondering if that was the case, because airsoft sounds more like a company name

There might be a company that bought the name "AirSoft," but the game in general is referred to as "airsoft" like paintball is just called paintball. So, if you're looking for gun to play the game...you'll find many namebrands and what not all labeled as airsoft guns.

Just do a google search, and you'll get hundreds of pages...shop around and read up on the guns before you buy one, some can be pretty cheaply made.

Not really looking to play the game, just to get a pistol or two to scare people with

If you don't want to go to or like the aforementioned redwolfairsoft.com you can check you http://www.shortyusa.com. Its selection is smaller but is also cheaper too.

Careful with that. If the people you're scaring think it's a real gun, you can be charged as if it were.

Am referring to random dogs (life in a wooded area down home), my roommate, and to threaten a guy who lives on my floor. Wouldn't shoot either my roommate or that guy, it's mainful for when I got out walking and all. They sting well enough to deture most animals, but luckily enough you can't kill one with one.

Long story involving a pellet gun that got cocked about fifty times too many

Threatening a guy who lives on your floor with a bb gun sounds like a really bad idea.

You need to realize it is the perception of the victim that determines a criminal act in cases involving weapons of any kind. Heimdall is correct, you can be charged as if it were a real firearm if a victim thinks it is. Also it can be a bystander or witness who presses charges, if they feel threatened by the presence of a 'weapon'. <br>
Blowguns and pellet pistols are not allowed in Residence Halls, and
threatening anyone on campus is a bad idea anyway..... neither we nor the campus judicial officer find that type of behavior amusing. It's not worth risking expulsion, jail and/or a criminal record for.

Ok, you guys are taking this way too far. I don't plan to wander campus pointing it at people. I plan to leave it in my room (in the pocket of my chair) and use it for when he won't get out of my room. More than likely, am not going to get one for a while anyway.

Yesh. Is people like you guys who ruin senior pranks

The guns can be pretty fun, I have a little automatic smg type one, shoots pretty fast and stings if you get hit on open skin. Fun to chase off cats/dogs with I guess.

I have a couple of Gas blow back pistols. A 1911 and a Beretta 92 R auto pistol.

I also had a little electric DE.

Dont think that these things dont hurt. They do. To prove this point I took one of my pistols held it to my leg (muzzle to flesh) and squized of a round. I can tell you 1 Joule can really leave a bloody welt.

Airsoft ( is not a company as far as I can tell but more of an industry name) is a shit load of fun. Think of it as paintball with 1 to 1 scale replicas of modern firearms.

Airsoft beats paintball in my book any day. You get to run around all commando-like with guns that actually look cool. I never owned one myself, but my neighbor had several when we were little and it was good fun shooting each other. The electric or gas blowback guns are the best, because they're the most realistic (and alas, the most expensive :( )

This site usually has some good specials:
