I have an ellipsoid with a surface area of 262,000. It has a radius of .151 and likewise as it rotates on the x-axis remains constant. I need to know what the radius that runs along the x-axis is.
Im writing a paper and it involves some astrophysics and math that are a little beyond my ability. If someone could solve or point me in a good direction I would be very grateful.

I know what the equation is, but I had to learn a little bit of new math to use it, and I really dont know if I did it right or not. I was asking for help with it and perhaps someone to check my work. Oh well its done anyway.

Well I didnt need someone to tell me to use a formula to figure it out, that's just obvious. Helping me use the formula and checking my work is helpful. Telling me something I already know is not. Sorry.

not really, it was just 4 hours after the last post, and it was the top thread in the forum. i think that reving dead threads is bad, keeping them alive is okay, but 4 hours compared to 31 days, is a bit of a different story.
